I enjoy using film-based SLR cameras to take photographs in my spare
time. My favourite subjects are flowers. My favourite cameras are well-made,
mechanical models with virtually no automated features and relatively
high-quality lenses.
Film-based photography is satisfying because I'm never quite sure how
photos are going to turn out until the film is developed. Also, negatives
can be easily scanned into a computer for back up and post-production.
At work, I use digital SLR cameras to take photos that are used in new
media projects.
